The Clatskanie girls softball team has won a season-high five games in a row following Tuesday's 11-1 mercy-rule victory over Nestucca. The Tigers were led by sophomore Adalyn Wemmer, who scored three runs while collecting two hits and knocking in two runs as well. Junior Kayden Byrum had two RBI as well. and sophomore Olivia George scored twice while getting a hit and knocking in a run. Sophomore McKinsey Doyle scored twice as well for the Tigers, and sophomore Emma Parmley and senior Karielle Carlson each had an RBI for Clatskanie. Juniors Kennedy Johnson and Kyrielle White each had a hit and a run scores for Clatskanie, while junior Joey Sizemore rounded out the offense with a run scored and two walks.
The Tigers (10-3) will travel to Nestucca Friday, April 25, before returning home Tuesday, April 29, to host Vernonia at 3 p.m.
