To The Eagle,

My name is Justin Moriarty, and I am proud to announce my candidacy for Wahkiakum County Assessor.

Since moving to Wahkiakum County in 2021, I have worked to promote fairness in the property tax system—first as Chair of the County’s Board of Equalization, where I helped lead quasi-judicial hearings, ensure compliance with Department of Revenue standards, and advocate for both taxpayer rights and legal consistency. In 2024, I joined the Assessor’s Office, where I continue to apply my commitment to public service and procedural integrity.

With more than a decade of experience as a certified residential real property appraiser, I bring a data-driven, legally sound, and detail-oriented approach to property valuation. I have earned the trust of clients, courts, and government agencies by consistently delivering high-quality, well-documented assessments.

I understand that the credibility of this office is essential to public trust. I am committed to fair and defensible assessments, increased community transparency, and service that reflects the values of Wahkiakum County.
