Wahkiakum PTO's Bingo Night Draws a Full House

The Wahkiakum Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) hosted a lively Bingo Night on Friday, March 28. Held in the school’s multipurpose room, the event was a resounding success, fostering community spirit while raising funds for educational programs.

Excitement filled the room as players hoping to win one of the many raffle prizes marked their bingo cards. Each classroom contributed themed gift baskets filled to the brim with goodies, enticing participants to try their luck. In addition, the school’s art class collaborated with local artist Ruth Doumit to create unique, hand-painted plate masterpieces that were eventually auctioned off to further support the cause.

Attendees also enjoyed a pizza dinner generously provided by the PTO, which added to the festive atmosphere. Funds raised from the evening will go toward school programs, including travel expenses, classroom supplies and student activities.

Though small in numbers, the Wahkiakum PTO continues to make a big impact and plays a vital role in supporting our students and bringing families together with fun and meaningful events like Bingo Night. Thanks to strong support from the community, the organization remains dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities for local students.
