Friday, Feb. 14 from 2 – 5 p.m. is Free Cookie Time! Just show up at your library and receive a free cookie. Enjoy a cookie while reading in a quiet space, talking lightly with our wonderful volunteers, or just enjoy the cookie. We look forward to seeing you this Friday.
Wednesday, Feb. 19 from 10:30 – 11 a.m. is Story Time! This is a special 30 minutes. A time for young ones to enjoy a time of reading aloud. We’ve had recent strong interest with many enjoying this time. Story Time is held in the Pioneer Community Association (PCA) lower room. Questions? Just call (360) 795-3254, or drop in to the library and we’ll help you out. Story Time is every Wednesday until May 28. Come on in and enjoy.
Every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Community Hall (below the library) is Youth Dungeons and Dragons (6th – 12th grade), with workshops scheduled on the 1st and 3rd of the month from 6 – 7:30 p.m. However, we are filled to the gills. Chock full as they say. What does that mean? We need adult volunteers to help out. If we get two volunteers, we can begin a new group of D & D. Think it over.
Every day we have quiet, hands-on activities for all ages and make and take crafts to take home. A variety of Valentine craft activities are available, along with search and find coloring sheets. The activities get changed up all the time with a fresh look. Come and see.
Check out this month’s staff picks and new books, including the “Antique Store Mystery” book series.
Last but not least, the library’s perpetual jigsaw puzzle is nearing completion. The finisher gets to choose the next puzzle. Come and enjoy your library, located at 115 Columbia St. in Cathlamet. Library hours are Wednesday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 2 – 5 p.m.
