Mary Anne Watkins

Mary Anne Watkins 81, passed on January 4, 2025. Mary was born on July 5, 1943 in Sequim Washington to Allan and Frances (Mayberry) Pinkerton. Mary graduated from high in Sequim and married Fred Watkins on December 15, 1961. The couple moved to Skamokawa and later Cathlamet where she lived the rest of her life. She enjoyed the Cathlamet Public Library where she volunteered for many years. She also volunteered with the Stars Program at Christmas time. She was an avid Nascar and Seattle Seahawks fan! Mary worked seasonally for over 20 years at the Elochoman River and Grays River fish hatcheries.

Mary is survived by her 2 sons, Rick and Jim (Kim) Watkins. She was preceded in death in 2004 by her husband Fred and later two sisters Barbara Radich and Ruth Pinkerton. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery on Friday January 10th at 1:00 p.m. A Celebration of Mary's Life will be held at her son Rick Watkin’s home on Saturday January 11th at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cathlamet Public Library via the Blanche Bradley Memorial Library Foundation PO Box 811 Cathlamet, or to the Wahkiakum Lions Club. Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
