Happy New Year from your Sheriff! It has been a very busy six months since I was appointed to Office, and I wanted to say thank you for your patience as I navigate my new responsibilities. I was able to attend many gatherings and meet with several of you all this last year, however I know there are many out there that still have not been able to speak with me. Please don’t hesitate to call my office, send me a message, or set up a face-to-face meeting to ask a question, provide feedback, or voice your concerns.
I am dedicated to this community, as my Great-Great-Grandparents were when they immigrated here many years ago. I am at your service and want to do my best at providing the public safety you deserve, and your feedback in what you need as a community is crucial to do so. I know from my experience serving in the Wahkiakum County Sheriff’s Office that a strong and positive partnership with the community is the most important aspect of providing public safety.
That being said, please don’t hesitate to report any non-emergent suspicious or concerning activity to the non-emergency dispatch line, 360-795-3242 and choose option 0 to speak with a dispatcher. Although Wahkiakum is the best place to live and our crime is very low, we still investigate complex incidents that involve patterns of criminal behavior, and these cases are quickly solved because of the community tips received along the way, of which I thank you. Please dial 911 to report anything you suspect is an emergency.
I am very excited to further strengthening the partnership between the Community and the Sheriff’s Office in 2025! Stay safe Wahkiakum County!
