Ron Baker

Ron Baker, age 85 passed away in Burlington, WA with family and friends surrounding him.

Ronald G. Baker was born August 10, 1939 in Longview, WA to Elbert Baker and Eldis (Iverson) Baker. Ron graduated from Wahkiakum High School in Cathlamet, WA in 1957. Ron served an apprenticeship in the Machine Trades after graduating and later served as a manufacturing technical specialist.

Ron and Jenny Clark were married on December 22, 1986. Ron's work relocated him to Jamestown, ND in 1986 until his retirement in 2000. After retiring from Western Gear with 42 years of service they returned to Washington and built their retirement home in Arlington.

Ron is survived by his wife Jenny, daughters Melanie (Jim) Brotten, Cynthia Nelson, son Mark Baker and Leslie Olson, step children Dana Smith and Jeff Melby and Darren Radich. Also surviving him are his grandchildren Daniel Brotten, Melissa Brotten, Corey Nelson, Jacob Nelson, Ashley Baker, Marina Pritzkau, step grandson Kyle Smith and great granddaughter Alora Garmire.

He is also survived by his brother Alan in Beaverton, OR and sister Carol and Husband Chuck Fisk on Vashon Island and numerous nieces and nephews.Ron is preceded in death by his parents.

Ron enjoyed camping, RVing, boating and fishing. Ron has been a member of the Elks for 30 years.

Grave side service to be held May 31st at 1 pm at Lemley Chapel in Sedro Wooley.
