Larry Dean Holland

Larry Dean Holland, 71, of Cathlamet died on October 25th at his home. He was a lifelong Cathlamet resident. He was born on November 20,1952 in Longview to Marvin and Ruth (Smith) Holland. Larry graduated from Wahkiakum High School in 1971. Larry started his long career as a commercial fisherman at the age of 12. It was his passion, and he never looked back. He fished in Cooks Inlet, Alaska and on The Columbia River. He was a member of UCIDA. He married Debbie Tweit on August 11, 2012. He enjoyed life with his family and friends. They made trips through several winters to Lake Havasu where they made good memories. Larry was fun loving and known as a jokester. He enjoyed making everyone laugh. He is survived by his wife Debbie, his son, Chris Holland, 2 step daughters, Tasha Stratton and Alysha Gibson, a sister, Linda Toste and 4 nephews. Larry was preceded by his son Kyle Holland in 2003. A Celebration of his Life will be held at The Duck Inn on Saturday, November 30th at 2 PM. Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
