Mules beat Acorns 52-20

The Wahkiakum Mules got their first win of the season last Friday. At their second home game of the season the Mules cruised past the Oakville Acorns 52-50. Quarterback Jayden Stoddard rushed for 112 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. Parker Leitz rushed for 72 yards and four touchdowns. Mason Waldeck also rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. In the end the Mules ground game prevailed with a total of 205 rushing yards. The Mule's defense was on point as well, snagging five passes. Parker Leitz and Joseph Merz grabbed two interceptions apiece. Wahkiakum's first win of the season brings their league record to 1-3. The Mules play at Ocosta Friday in an afternoon game.
