Fundraiser for Mules drama club

On Saturday, October 5, students in the Wahkiakum High School drama club will be performing monologues at the Venue at the Little Island Creamery as a fundraiser. The students are trying to raise $500 to attend the regional drama competition later this year. The competition is part of the educational theatre competition which has regional and national competitions each year. Students will compete and attend workshops in acting, musical theatre, and technical theatre.

The students will be performing monologues written by Shawn Deal, the drama instructor at Wahkiakum High School. Deal has had ten monologues recently published, four of which will be performed at the event. The monologues, some comedy, some drama, deal with young adult themes that many high school age kids experience. The Venue at the Little Island Creamery will be offering concessions and their delicious wood fired pizza. Tickets are $15 at Eventbright or the door.More info at events@littleislandcreamery.net
