Adam Michael Phelps

Adam Michael Phelps,

devoted father, cherished

son and beloved brother,

uncle, grandson, nephew,

and friend passed on

August 20, 2024. He

was born March 9, 1984

in Longview and raised

in Cathlamet, where he

graduated from Wahkiakum High School. A

talented and dedicated

welder, he worked for several renowned regional

companies, including

Foss Maritime, where

his grandfather Harley Larson, had once served

as tugboat captain. Adam’s career also included

roles at Vigor Marine, Randco Tanks, Lake Union

Drydock Co., Snow & Company Inc., and he recently

relocated back to Kelso to start a new position at

Western Fabrication and be closer to his family.

Family was the foundation of Adam’s life, always

placing the people he cared for first and foremost.

His most cherished memories were the birth of his

daughter, Breanne Phelps, and countless moments

spent with loved ones, whether sharing his latest

jokes or playing games together. He had a special

bond with Breanne through their shared love of

Star Wars, his favorite movie series, and was fond

of Dukes of Hazzard. An avid RC car builder and

enthusiast, Adam found joy in crafting and driving

his custom creations, a passion that reflected his

creativity and dedication in everything he did.

Phelps, Mother and Step-Father Becky and Jeffrey

Lloyd, Father and Step-Mother Mike and Carrie

Phelps, his brothers Josh (Vanessa) Phelps, Mark

(Hannah) Phelps, his sister Sarah (Zack) Curry,

his nephews and niece Riker, Connar and Chance

Phelps, Akiza LaFrenze, and Emillia Phelps, and

his Grandmother Shirley Anderson. He is also

survived by his stepsisters Andrea (Abel) Garcia,

Elizabeth (Marco) DeSantiago, and Ashley Lloyd,

stepbrother Travis (Amber) Lloyd, numerous aunts,

uncles, cousins, and girlfriend Mel Buno. Adam was

preceded in death by grandparents Ken Curry and

Ivana Johnson, grandfather Harley Larsen, and

uncle Donald Larsen.

A Celebration of Life service will begin at noon

and be held at The Bridge Church, located at 503

SR409 Puget Island. In place of a memorial fund,

the family kindly requests that donations be made

to a college fund for his daughter, through the Bank

of the Pacific. The family extends their heartfelt

thanks to the compassionate doctors and nurses

at St. John’s PeaceHealth, as well as the many

friends and members of the community who have

shared their memories of Adam and offered their

condolences. He will continue to live in our hearts

and through cherished memories we shared with

him.
