WAAG Celebrates five years with a community birthday bash

Wahkiakum Animal Advocates Group (WAAG) is excited to celebrate five years of serving our community with a special anniversary event and everyone is invited to join the festivities! Mark your calendars for Sunday, September 15, from 12-4 p.m. at Erickson Park and join us for a fun-filled birthday party to commemorate this milestone.

Our party will feature a silent auction with a variety of items up for bid, generously donated by local businesses and community members. All proceeds from the auction will directly support WAAG’s community programs, which include Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), Pet Food Pantry, Financial Aid for Spay/Neuter and Emergency Medical Care, Foster and Adoption Services and Community Education.

To capture the memories, a photographer will be onsite to offer pet portraits throughout the day. Local vendors will be on hand, offering a selection of pet-related products and services. We will also have a birthday-themed costume contest and games for pups you won’t want to miss!

For those who work up an appetite, delicious BBQ and dessert will be available for purchase for $10 a plate, cooked fresh on-site. Most importantly WAAG will be recognizing the hard work and dedication of our volunteers who have played a crucial role in our organization’s success over the past five years.

Parking is available onsite, and the party is family-friendly with well-behaved dogs on leash welcome to join in on the fun. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or chairs for picnic-style seating and to come prepared for a day of community and celebration.

Don’t miss out on this special event! Join WAAG at Erickson Park on Sunday, September 15, from 12-4 p.m. and help us celebrate five years of making a difference for animals and their families in our community. More information and updates will be posted on our Facebook page and on our website at https://www.wahkiakumanimals.org. Hope to see you there!
