Greetings from the fair office. WOW! What a fair. If you weren't able to attend, you missed out. All three days had lots of entertainment. Thanks to everyone who braved the storm to watch "Arena Rock Gold" Saturday night. I have been working with this band for over 10 years and believe me they are well worth the wait. Michelle Lambert came from California and played Saturday afternoon along with lots of other talent. The Reptile Roadshow was here on Friday and Baluantic was here Friday and Saturday. But the hit of the fair was definitely the "MUTTON BUSTIN AND THE LEGENDARY LONGHORNS". “Mutton bustin’ and the Congratulations to Kinsley Helms for winning the buckle in the final round on Saturday Night. A huge thank you to the sponsors of this event: Bob's Big Boards (Longview, WA), Eaton's Excavation (Cathlamet, WA), Aegerter Farm and Kevin Vik and many more who made this event possible.
Attendance was up across the board. I will have premium checks ready for pickup on September 14 at the Flea Market. Please come pick them up.
Thank you to all the vendors who came to thefair. A special thank you to the Elephant Ear booth that has been coming to the fair for 44 years.
Also Thank You to all the volunteers who put the fair together and make it what it is. Without you it would not be possible. A special thank you to Becky Thacker for doing the gates and to the fair board for all that you do. And last of all, thank you to the exhibitors. All of these things make the fair happen. So all of you need to pat yourself on the back you are all awesome in my book. Thanks to all the photographers that sent pictures into the paper they were wonderful.
With all that said the fair was once again a success. Now planning starts for 2025. Next year’s fair dates are August 21, 22, and 23, 2025. So mark your calendar now.
