Sheriff's report

emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the last week, including:

July 22 10:34 a.m. A tablet computer was found in Skamokawa. Deputies connected the caller with the owner of the computer. 5:10 p.m. Cathlamet emergency services responded to a business on Main Street where a person was experiencing chest pains.

July 23 10:32 a.m. Sheriff’s deputies removed people from a Puget Island property for trespassing. 1:25 p.m. A 24 hour removal notice was posted on an abandoned RV at the fairgrounds. 2:16 p.m. A Puget Island caller reported a vehicle parked in a suspicious spot. Deputies contacted the occupants and let them know they were parked on private property.

July 24 2:35 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a person with breathing difficulties. The person was transported to the hospital. 2:18 p.m. Emergency services responded to the health clinic in Cathalmet to transport a possible stroke victim. 3:19 p.m. A person who was feeling dizzy was treated at the Skamokawa fire hall. 5:09 p.m. A road rage incident was reported west of Cathlamet. 8:06 p.m. A person with stomach pains was treated at the Cathlamet fire hall. 8:36 p.m. A Skamokawa caller reported a motorcycle traveling at excessive speed. 9:16 p.m. A person reported money had been taken from their bank account.

July 25 2:04 p.m. A homeowner east of Cathlamet was assisted by the Cathlamet ambulance after experiencing chest pains. 6:59 p.m. An Elochoman Valley caller reported that bales of hay had fallen off a truck that was traveling at excessive speeds. 6:53 p.m. Cows were reported to be blocking the westbound lane of SR4 east of the Grays River bridge. 8:54 p.m. A motorist reported hitting a deer West of Skamokawa.

July 26 8:34 a.m. Large rocks we reported in both lanes of SR 409 on Puget Island. 11:46 a.m. A person was asked to leave from the Elochoman Slough marina for possible drug use. 11:50 a.m. A Elochoman Valley caller reported a drone flying over their property. The caller was advised that the drone was authorized to perform an ecological study. 2:02 p.m. A person was reported shooting targets from their parked car on Steamboat Slough Road.

July 27 8:00 a.m. A caller from the Westend reported asking a driver parked on a relatives land to leave multiple times. 5:29 p.m. A homeowner in the Grays River area reported seeing a person going through their shed on security camera footage. The caller was concerned that the person might still be on the property.

July 28 6:31 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a Puget Island resident who was confused. 7:04 p.m. A car fire was reported at the top of the hill west of County Line Park. The Wahkiakum County Sheriff's Office the Washington State Patrol and the District 4 fire department responded. A passenger in the car was transported to the hospital in Longview.
