The Cascade Brass to perform free concert in Clatskanie

The Cascade Brass, a military brass band will perform a free concert at the Birkenfeld Theatre in Clatskanie. Cascade Brass, led by Staff Seargent James Cameron, is a five-member brass quintet whose members are citizen soldiers from the 234th Army Band of the Oregon National Guard. The quintet will perform twice in Clatskanie on Monday July 22. Cascade Brass performs classical music throughout the year in public and military events such as ROTC and Officer Candidate School commencement, changes of command, promotions, retirement, and deployment ceremonies.

This celebrated quintet will be giving a short concert at 1:00 p.m. at the Flippin House, 620 SW Tichenor, also know as the “Castle”. A lunch will be served at 12:00 p.m. Prices for lunch will be based on age, $6-$8, and will consist of hamburgers, baked beans, potato salad, and melon with the free concert to follow on the lawn. The group’s evening performance will take place at the Birkenfeld Theatre, 75 S.
