Wahkiakum High School Key Club raises funds for Doernbecher hospital

The Wahkiakum High School Key Club is raising money for the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. The Key Club, which is associated with Kiwanis International, will be having a pasta dinner and auction on April 23 at 6:00 p.m in the gym. Tickets are available in the high school office or from a Key Club member for twenty dollars. On Thursday, April 25 at 6:30 p.m. they will be having a dodgeball tournament at the high school open to all ages. Teams of eight people can register for five dollars. Jailbreaks can be purchased for $20 to return team members to the game. Admission to watch is one dollar. Sign up is at the high school office. Also on April 26 the Key Club will be sponsoring the movie Kung Fu Panda at 7:00 p.m. followed by A Scary Movie. Tickets are five dollars. Wahkiakum’s Got Talent tryouts are April 30th, dress rehearsal on May 6th, and the talent show is May 7th at 6:30 at the high school.

Various other activities are scheduled at the high school to raise money, including root beer and orange floats and donation jars in the K-8 classrooms. If you would like to make a donation, checks can be made out to Wahkiakum High School. Put Doernbecher on the memo line and drop off checks or cash at the High School or Grade School Office.
