Spencer Day is a #1 Billboard jazz/pop singer and songwriter. He has played venues as diverse as Lincoln Center, the Hollywood Bowl and London’s West End. Day is a widely acclaimed songwriter creating witty and sophisticated pop songs in the tradition of classic jazz, American writers. Day’s songwriting is influenced by jazz, musical theater, cabaret, soul, and pop.

His most recent album is a collection of reimagined theater songs from South Pacific, Evita, A Chorus Line and beyond, with surprising and genre-blurring arrangements. His album, “Broadway by Day” features Grammy-nominated artists such as Dave Koz and Jane Monheit.

“I hope to create music that is sophisticated but teeming with raw emotion and fire under the surface. It is in life’s contradictions where the most beautiful things are created,” said Day.

Day will perform at 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 26th at the Birkenfeld Theater in Clatskanie. Tickets are $25 for adults, $23 for seniors, and $20 for children. They will be available at the door or for pre-order at http://www.clatskaniearts.com.
