Greetings from the fair office. Wow! Fair is here, are you ready? We are. I hope everyone has their entries ready to bring in on Monday and Tuesday. On Monday everything except floral, gardening and baking is entered and of course animals. Tuesday floral, gardening and baking come in and on Wednesday animals come in from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday the gates open for the fair. If you haven't bought your pass yet you still have time but on Thursday the price goes up so be sure and get your pass early. You can purchase them from the fair royalty or in the office at the fairgrounds. The cost is only $7.00 for the three day event. Come check out the exhibits, grab something to eat from the food vendors, take a ride on the mechanical bull, listen to some good music and have a cold drink. Thank you to the Duck Inn for providing the Beer Garden at the fair. Something new this year is the Kid’s Talent Show on Saturday from 3-5 p.m. So kids, call the office to sign up for the talent show. Friday night at 6:30 p.m. is the 4-H & FFA Market Sale. So come out and support the youth with their projects. Saturday night's final music act Arena Rock Gold has been here in the past as the Fat Bottom Girls so come out and listen to some good old Rock ‘n Roll. Hope to see everyone out at the fair.
Fair Raffle grand prize this year is a one night stay at Ilani, $120.00 gift card and two concert tickets. You don't want to miss out on this one. Tickets are only $1.00 and available from Fair Princesses Lydia Blalock and Ellie Gilbert, or in the fair office.
If you haven't bought your tickets for the "Smoke On The Water Music Fest" you should do that soon. The price is $150.00 for the weekend pass. You get three big name singers, Canaan Smith, Cort Carpenter and Rodney Atkins along with Pacific Northwest talent Kaitie Wade, Aaron Crawford, Luke & Kaylee, Sam Leyde Band, Nash Brothers, Olson Bros Band, Kitty Mae, Brewer's Grade Band, Jessie Leigh, and Leah Justine. This is going to be an event you don't want to miss. Check out their booth at the fair and get more information. You can also buy day tickets if you would like.
