Comets Baseball and Softball

The Naselle Comets won their first two games in the State 1B baseball tournament on Saturday, and will face number one ranked DeSales in the semifinals at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 26 at Johnson-O’Brien Stadium in Ephrata.

If the Comets win, they will go on to play in the State Championship game the following day at 4 p.m. If they lose, they will play the following day for third and fourth place at 10 a.m. Both games will be played in Ephrata.

The Comets started the state tournament with a 4-3 win against Crosspoint last Saturday. Later that day they beat Almira-Coulee-Hartline 5-3.

The Comets softball season ended with a 25-2 loss to Mossyrock in the district tournament on May 17.
