The Comets joined five other teams on Tuesday at the Pacific County Invite in Ilwaco on Tuesday, May 2. Naselle scored 74 points to take fourth in girls competition and 88 points to take third in boys competition.

Top six finishers for the boys include:

On Thursday, they joined six other teams at a 1B/2B/1A League Meet in North Beach. Naselle scored 49 points to take fourth place in girls competition, and 121 points to take second in boys competition.

On Saturday, Naselle joined 33 other teams in a freshmen invitational in Centralia

Top six finishers for Naselle freshmen include:

Boys Javelin — 6. Jason Gardner 107-11; Girls discus — 5. Haataja 71-1.5; Girls high jump — 1. M. Dunagan 5; Girls long jump — 1. M. Dunagan 14-10; Girls triple jump — 1. M. Dunagan 32-9.

Naselle hosted their district meet on Wednesday. Results were not available by press time. They travel to Tacoma for the 1B District1/2/3/4 Championship on Thursday, May 18.

The Wahkiakum Mules joined Naselle at the1B/2B/1A League Meet in North Beach on Thursday, May 4. The Mules scored seven points to take fifth in girls competition, and 55 points to take fifth in boys competition.

Top six finishers for the boys include:

100 meters — 4. Declan Hendricks 13.05; 200 meters — 1. Landon Nielsen 24.76, 4. Hendricks 26.48; 800 meters — 4. Daniel Spisla-Hongel; Shot put — 1. Nielsen 39-11; Javelin — 3. Hendricks 112-9; High jump — 3. Nielsen 5-6; Long jump — 2. Nielsen 17.

Top six finishers for the girls include:

100 meters — 4. Jade Mahatma 15.14.

The Mules next compete on Friday at the Central 2B League Championship at Kalama. They head to the 2B District 4 Championships in Chehalis on May 19.
