Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
Head to the J.A. Wendt Elementary baseball field this Saturday, April 15 starting at noon, for the Wahkiakum School District Autism Bake Sale. Local award winning bakers are pulling out all the stops to offer you freshly made cookies,
cupcakes and breads. Volunteers have been preparing all week in order to offer you a wide range of delicious baked goods.
All proceeds will be donated to the school district to help raise funds for a Sensory Room for children on the Autism spectrum and with special needs.
The bake sale will take place during the Varsity Baseball home game against Rainier. To show their support and help raise awareness, the baseball team has agreed to wear the locally designed Autism Mule Puzzle patch on their warm up shirts. Not only that, but Baseball Mom, Nicole Wilson has generously volunteered to donate all concession sales.
These special patches, as well as stickers and pins will also be available for purchase. These items are currently available at Cathlamet Pharmacy, Cathlamet Market and Cathlamet Chevron.
Stop in Saturday for a great game, some delicious treats and show your support for
an incredible cause.
