The Naselle Comet boys and girls basketball teams showed no mercy to Wishkah Valley, ending the season for both Loggers teams in the opening round of the 1B District 4 basketball tournament on Monday.
The Naselle girls basketball team beat Wishkah Valley 83-23, and the Naselle boys followed suit with an 88-10 win against the Loggers.
The Comet boys advanced to a second loser out game on Wednesday, February 8, against Firm Foundation. If they win, they will head to Oakville on February 15 to play the Acorns at 6 p.m.
The Comet girls will play the winner of Tuesday’s Three Rivers Christian/Mary M. Knight contest on Thursday at 6 p.m. on their opponent’s court in a second loser out game. The winner will play Mossyrock on February 14.
