Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
Darcy Rae Tischer passed away peacefully December 3, 2022, in Vancouver
Hospice with her family by her side after a long battle with health issues.
Darcy was born to Lee and Diane Tischer in Longview on July 26, 1984. She

Darcy had a son Louis with Tayler Stornetta.
Darcy had such a caring heart, and her house was always open to anyone who
needed help. She took in two of her cousins in their teens and enrolled them in
Wahkiakum High School. She spent many hours volunteering with the Cathlamet
clothing bank and helping with the Wahkiakum Dollars for Scholars Rods & Reels
Rod Run and Sturgeon Derby.
Darcy leaves behind her parents Lee & Diane Tischer, sister Tiffany Tischer,
daughter Leanndra Tischer, son Louis Stornetta, niece Mari Bello, and many
aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of her life for all to attend will be held Sunday, December 18, at 1
p.m., at The Duck Inn in Skamokawa.
A family graveside service will be held this summer.
Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions can be made to Wahkiakum Dollars for Scholars. P.O. Box
