Health and Human Services on the move

The Wahkiakum County Health Department will be changing locations in early December, moving from their current offices at the back of the Wahkiakum County Courthouse to 42 Elochoman Valley Road, where the majority of the Wahkiakum Health and Human Services offices are located.

As part of this consolidation, public health services, mental health services, and substance use service will all be provided at the Elochoman campus.

The public health department will be closed for the move from December 5-9 and reopen at their new location on December 12, where they will continue to provide the same services they provided at the courthouse, including vaccinations, food permitting, WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) Services, septic permitting, paternity testing, and more.

The mental health department and substance use services will continue their operations at the Elochoman campus, where they have been providing mental health therapy, telehealth psychiatric prescribing, adolescent mental health, mental health case management, peer support, substance abuse counseling, urinalysis sample collection, group sessions, substance use case management, and more.

Services provided at the Hope Center, which is located at 320 S. 3rd Street in Cathlamet, will remain unchanged.

For more information, contact the department at 360-795-6207, Monday through Thursday.
