To The Eagle:
. . . Wahkiakum County ranks high among the most peaceful, successful, and secure counties in the nation despite being in a state that routinely ranks among the worst.
Some of this is no doubt due to the fact that we are a small rural county, but I attribute much of our recent success to the quiet, competent leadership of three people in particular: Commissioner Dan Cothren, Sheriff Mark Howie, and Prosecutor Dan Bigelow. One of them, Bigelow is running for re-election this year and the upcoming midterm election is our first opportunity to start cleaning up the horrible mess that has been dumped upon us by the malevolent mob of woke progressives and RINO Republicans under the thumb of senile puppet Joe Biden. Earlier, in the primary campaign, Dan philosophized about the value of keeping a low profile, and in recent campaign literature, his opponent attempted to turn his words against him. Dan has indeed turned in a sterling performance in the multi-faceted job of a small-county prosecutor, so I’m stickin’ with him, and sincerely hope you all will, too.
