Town seeks comments on shoreline program

The Town of Cathlamet is conducting a periodic review of the 2019 Shoreline Master Program (SMP) as required by state law. This project is focused on any needed fine-tuning and house-keeping revisions, not another complete overhaul or rewrite.

The purpose of the review is to ensure that local requirements for use and development along the waterfront stay up-to-date with changes to state laws and rules; other town plans and regulations and local circumstances, new information and improved data.

The review process will determine if program revisions are needed or if the program is still adequate as written.

An online community survey will close on Monday. Town officials encourage interested people to give input through the survey, which can be found online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PPQFVGG.

The project webpage will be the main location for project status, events, and related documents. It can be found online at https://www.townofcathlamet.com/planning-zoning-1-1/shoreline-smp.
