What's happening at the Fair?

Greetings from the fair office. Wow! Fair is only three weeks away and the fairgrounds are going to be very busy. We are going to get the new building going up and the pavement going in. So please call or make an appointment to be at the fairgrounds. I am sure there will be a few days that no one will be getting on the fairgrounds. A huge thank you to Kelly Hammond for the Horse Barn face lift. It looks wonderful. She volunteered her time to paint the building. Without wonderful volunteers like her things wouldn't happen. So my hat goes off to all the fair volunteers and I know I have a lot of them. Without you our fair wouldn't be so wonderful. Speaking of volunteers, the T-Building is still in need of someone for Mon-Wed August 15-17. Martie would love to have some more help in this wonderful building. If you are interested please email her mudwoman@live.com or email the office wahkiakumfair@gmail.com or just call the office 360-795-3480.

The fair royalty is out selling fair passes, and raffle tickets. The fair raffle this year is a 1-night stay at Chinook Winds Casino and Hotel in Lincoln City. There will be secondary prizes as well; 1/2 cord of wood, and a homemade afghan plus more. So if you see them purchase your tickets.

New to the fair this year Logan's Duck Inn will host a Beer Garden by the stage. So come on down and listen to the music and visit with the Duck staff.

If you would like to be a vendor we still have space but please call ASAP due to all the construction.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week and one more huge Thank You to all the volunteers.
