Jennifer Lee Wolcott, 53, of Cathlamet, died July 14, 2022 at her home. Jennifer was a lifelong local resident and caregiver of many. She was born May 13, 1969 in Astoria, Oregon.
She was raised most of her life in Cathlamet by Daniel and Linda Stewart. She loved animals and was active in 4-H through school. She worked at Columbia View Nursing Home as a CNA and received her Nursing Degree from LCC Nursing Program in 2000. She had been an active member and EMT for the Skamokawa Fire Department for many years and was drawn to the medical field. She later worked at St John Medical Center and Beacon Hill Rehab. For a short time she was Director of Nursing at Life Care Center in Port Orchard WA before coming back to Cathlamet to work for Assured Home Health in Longview, traveling to home visits around Cowlitz, Clark and Wahkiakum Counties.
On July 22, 2006 she married Donald ” DJ “ Wolcott. She did private nursing for the past few years. Her family remembers her as a family oriented, compassionate, loving woman who was fierce about her beliefs and always put others first.
Jennifer is survived by her husband, DJ Wolcott, three sons, Brian, Benjamin and Robert Weidner, two brothers Daniel and Christopher Stewart, her Dad, Daniel Stewart, grandma Patricia Bush, mother-in-law, Rebecca Wolcott, six grandchildren, three nieces and one nephew and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her son Michael Weidner in 1988 and her mother Linda Stewart.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday August 13, 2022 at 1 p.m., Greenwood Cemetery in Cathlamet. Donations in Jennifer’s name may be made to the Wahkiakum 4-H Council through the WSU Extension, PO Box 278, Cathlamet, WA 98612. Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
