The Wahkiakum Mules joined six other teams at Toutle Lake for a league track meet last Thursday.
The Mules took second place in boys’ competition with 70.5 points, while the Lady Mules took sixth place in girls’ competition with 32 points.
Landon Nielsen won the javelin with a throw of 148-07, a personal record. He also took first place in the high jump, clearing 5-08, and took second place in the shot put with a throw of 34-05.5.
Gabe Moon had personal records in all his events that day. He won the shot put with a throw of 34-05.75, placed second in the discus with a throw of 106-04, and finished in third place in the javelin with a throw of 123-06.
Jerimyah Johnson finished in fifth place in the shot put with a throw of 31 feet.
Wayne Harrison placed fourth in the javelin with a throw of 121-07.
Mason Waldeck tied for fifth place in the long jump with a leap of 16-07.
Nathan Garrett finished fourth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:47.23, a new personal record. He also placed fifth in the 1600 meters with a time of 6:09.99.
For the girls, Lilian Hale placed second in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 20.3. She also took sixth place in the shot put with a toss of 24-07 and third in the long jump with a leap of 12-05.
Reigha Niemeyer won the javelin with a throw of 100 feet, a personal record. She placed third in the shot put with a throw of 26-06.
Wahkiakum will host Elma, Naselle, and Toledo at their next meet at home on April 28.
