FAFF presents three Sundays of Christmas

The Naselle Finnish American Folk Festival presents its annual Christmas Concert and Tour of Homes on Sunday, December 5 at the Naselle Community Center, 14 Parpala Road, Naselle.

The concert will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the NCC with Carl Wirkkala and band members performing traditional and new Christmas selections. He will lead the audience in singing traditional Christmas carols. Donations at the door will be accepted. Donations go towards the Community Center upgrades as well as the Deep River Historical Church restoration.

Following the Christmas concert, there will be a tour of homes in the Naselle and Rosburg area from 2-5 p.m. Tickets and maps will be available at the concert.

There will be a soup supper following the tour of homes back at the Naselle Community Center from 4-6 p.m. Soups and breads will be available by donation. There will also be a wreath sale outside of the Community Center and an ESA food drive. The wreath sale will be from 4-6 p.m.

Businesses and individuals may donate wreaths with proceeds designated to the non-profit of their choice. Wreaths may be dropped off December 3 at the Community Center from 6-7 p.m. and Saturday December 4 from 10-11 a.m.

FAFF presents a 2nd Sunday of events, December 12 at the Naselle Community Center and the Naselle Assembly of God Church.

Steve Ullakko will offer instruction in how to make the Finnish pastry “Korvupuusti” from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Community Center. Interested persons may call Haleigh See at 360-852-3730 to register. The cost is $10 per person.

Katie Green will offer instruction in cookie decorating from 4-6 p.m. at the Naselle Community Center. Interested persons may also call 360-852-3730 to register. Cost is $10 per person.

A Finnish Christmas Story will be shown at the Naselle Assembly of God church from 6-7:30 p.m. There will be no charge to view the movie.

The Naselle FAFF presents a Christmas Bazaar at the Community Center on Sunday, December 19 from 1-4 p.m. Vendors must register ahead of time and can choose a booth inside or outside. The cost to have a booth is $20. For more information contact Haleigh See at 360-852-3730.

There will also be a Christmas Tree lighting ceremony with a Carol sing-along at the Community Center from 5:30-6 p.m. A tour of lights will be going on through the town of Naselle and the Naselle/Grays River Valley area from 6-10 p.m. Simply text 360-852-3730 to vote your favorite house. The winner will receive a $50 gift certificate to a local business of their choice.
