The Wahkiakum High School cross country team traveled to Stevenson to compete with five other schools in a 2B meet last Thursday.
Representing the boys in the 5,000 meter run, sophomore Nathan Garrett placed 24th in the field of 44 runners with a time of 23:35.62. The winning runner, Camden Uffelman of Columbia, finished in 18:45.03.
For the girls, Senior Kimberlee Watkins took 16th place in a field of 21 runners, with a time of 36:17.42. Isabella Spencer of Stevenson won the race with a time of 22:33.
The cross country team was at Fort Vancouver on Wednesday. Results were not available by press time.
