Mule volleyball practice underway

The Wahkiakum Mules volleyball team lost a lot of seniors last year, and with a turnout of 18 athletes this season, Coach Kayli Hurley, who spent some time going over defensive positions with the team on Tuesday, is looking forward to watching the core group that is left to "step into big leadership roles" and "seeing the younger girls grow into new roles with the team." There are two seniors this year, Megan Leitz and Courtney Carlson, Hurley said, adding, "We are thankful to be headed into what looks to be much closer to a 'regular season.' We are looking forward to a season full of hard work, competition, and fun." Photo by Diana Zimmerman.
