Yacht club enjoyed Bald Eagle Days

To The Eagle:

Thank you for a great Bald Eagle Festival this year! It was wonderful to celebrate with you in Cathlamet, and to see so many families enjoy the parade, fireworks, music and businesses. Congratulations to the Grand Prize Trophy winner from Little Island who entered the parade as "Alpha's Little Nutes." Your "eagle nest" was truly amazing.

Special thanks to the Chamber of Commerce, the Elochoman Slough Marina and the hundreds of volunteers who made Bald Eagle Days possible this year. The theme, "Fly Like An Eagle" could not have been better for visitors and locals alike who enjoyed the weekend.

Portland Yacht Club (PYC) is grateful for the hospitality and warm welcome. PYC has had boats here for Bald Eagle Days for more than 20 years. This year we had 22 boats at the marina and more than 75 members who participated. It's one of the club’s favorite cruises.

A special thank you to our neighbors, Doug and Jill Martin, who assisted us with our parade entry and transportation. As residents of Puget Island and members of PYC, we're proud of the community and honored to call Wahkiakum County home.

Cheers,

Pam Sesar - Puget Island

Becky Belangy - Puget Island
