Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
Wow! What a car show! Even though the weather wasn’t very nice the fairgrounds had 130 cars for the car show. I would like to thank our sponsors: C & H Classic Smoked Fish, The Spar, Marker 29 LLC, Watkins Tractor & Supply, Arts Automotive, Torppa Construction, Mike Swanson Realty, Wahkiakum West, Wrench Bender, Joan Wren, Lee & Diane Tischer, Hart Radiator, The Duck Inn, Wahkiakum Realty, Cathlamet Pharmacy, Napa, The Roadkill Saloon, Summit Racing, Direct Auto Insurance, Rivermile 38 Brewery, Skamokawa Resort, Wahkiakum Noxious Weed Dept., Maria's, Flowmaster Performance, Hurst Shifters, B&M Racing, The Chamber of Commerce, Northwest Auto Mall. Without all their support the car show wouldn't be a success. So Thank you all. Also I would like to thank all the volunteers that worked hard to get everything ready. You are all greatly appreciated.
This Saturday is the Flea Market at the fairgrounds. We are open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Hope to see everyone there.
In July the Wahkiakum Fair Foundation will hold the Challenge of Champions on the 16th. Pre-sale tickets are $15 from any fair foundation member.
Then in August we will have the Fair. The theme this year is "Hats Off to the Fair." The fair book is dedicated to Martha Backman. I am still looking for vendors and entertainment. If you are interested please call the office and leave me a message. (360)795-3480.
Hope everyone has a wonderful week.
