Napvine 8, Mule 6
April 8: Our bats were on fire all day, with everyone getting in the hit column. Unfortunately we left some runners on base, made some base running errors, combined with one or two bad decisions on defense, and it put us in a position where we were down by five runs going into the bottom of the final inning. And although we came up short in the end, we did score three runs in that last inning and put the potential winning run at the plate. Breyonna Montgomery pitched a complete game and struck out seven Tiger hitters, while going 2-4 at the plate with 2 RBI’s. Other offensive stand outs were Jordyn Watson 3-4, MJ Neves 3-4 and Shantelle Shervey 2-4.
Mules 19, Kalama 4
April 12: We were able to take advantage of some young pitchers early in the game, and several players had multiple hits. MJ Neves, Jordyn Watson, and Beka Neves all went 2-4 with 2 RBIs. Amaya Jones contributed big, going 3-4 with 5 RBIs. Mj also struck out two Kalama hitters when she came in to close the game out on the mound.
Winlock 16, Mules 7
April 14: The game was close going in to the fifth inning but a big sixth inning from the Cardinals at the plate proved too much for us to overcome in the late innings. Breyonna Montgomery stuck out five Cardinal batters and went 2-3 at the plate, with two runs scored and 1 RBI. Shantelle Shervey was a force at the plate going 4-4 with 4 RBIs, including a three-run homerun and also scored two runs in the day.
Toutle Lake 17, Mules 2
April 17: Hits were hard to come by against the Ducks; their defense didn’t make any mistakes and pitching was on target all day for them. Getting in the hit column with one hit apiece for the Mules were Makayla Davis, Jordyn Watson, Amaya Jones, Breyonna Montgomery, and Shantelle Shervey. Jordyn Watson and Breyonna Montgomery each drove a run for us.
