Roger DeWayne Peek died January 26, 2021 surrounded by his family after his courageous battle with Lymphoma while residing in Arlington, WA.
Roger was born October 17, 1944 in Brush, CO to Robert and Lena Peek. The family moved to Cathlamet in Roger’s youth where he attended Wahkiakum High School. While living in Cathlamet, he married Kathy Bond and they raised three children; Jason, Kim and Jerrod.
Throughout his life, Roger worked in many different jobs in the construction and farming industry. He never truly retired and preferred to stay very active. His favorite pastimes included raising beef cattle and team roping. His entire life he had the gift to gab, he was also very generous and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He enjoyed being surrounded by his family and his many friends. He found great comfort in his faith in Jesus Christ.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Leota and his brother Ladean. He is survived by his son Jason and wife Betsy of Arlington, son Jerrod of Ellensburg, and his daughter Kim and husband Dante of Seattle. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins including his lifetime friend and cousin Janice.
Roger will be laid to rest alongside his parents and siblings at Greenwood Cemetery in Cathlamet. A memorial service will be held in the near future with announcements to follow.
