It's time to get back to the real world

To The Eagle:

Who cares what President Biden does with his paycheck. So Mr. Trump donated his presidential salary of $400,000. So what. That’s a drop in the bucket.

According to the New York Times, Trump raised $255.4 million in the eight weeks following the Nov. 3 election while trying to overturn the results with unfounded accusations of fraud. He’s still raking in millions from desperate chumps at his internet scam site, Stop The Steal.

According to Forbes, we taxpayers have footed a $142 million bill for security and travel expenses during Trump’s 298 golfing excursions. Those golfing holidays were enjoyed at Trump owned golf courses whose membership and greens fees came straight out of your pocket and went right into the president’s bank account, as profit. The Constitution calls that “presidential emolument,” and it’s as illegal now as it was then.

According to a recent letter, a writer thinks Trump is still our president as she “clings to her hopes” while refusing to acknowledge the Biden administration. In my previous letter, I suggested it was time to abandon the Trump fantasia and get back to the real world. It seems that’s going to take quite a bit longer for some, than it will for others.

In the meantime, why not help “president” Trump keep America great by donating your own paychecks to his new PAC, Save America.
