Nature Matters virtual season continues with botanist and ecologist David Lebo, as he talks about the biology, ecology, and identification of macrofungi of the Oregon Coast that produce the diversity of mushrooms that are encountered in coastal habitats.

Lebo earned a Master of Science degree in forest ecology from the University of Washington where he completed his research thesis on fungi and nutrient dynamics in the Hoh Rainforest in Olympic National Park. He has worked for the U.S. Forest Service for 35 years, currently working as a west-side zone botanist for the Mt. Hood National Forest.
