Wahkiakum County added three more covid-19 cases on Thursday

Wahkiakum Health and Human Services reported on Thursday that three more Wahkiakum County residents had tested positive for covid-19, for a total of 38 cases.

All three are in self-quarantine. There is a limited connection to the Wahkiakum School District. The district “has stringent measures in place…including tight cohorts” and will remain open.

There is currently no known connection to the daycare.

Active person to person spread is confirmed in the county, the press release stated. WHHS is “urging citizens to practice safety measures such as social distancing, staying at home, wearing a mask if you have to socialize, restricting activities to household members only, and considering holiday plans carefully."
