Four more confirmed cases of covid-19; total rises to 43

Wahkiakum Health and Human Services reported on Monday that four more Wahkiakum County residents had tested positive for covid-19, bringing the total number to 43.

The four are in self-quarantine. There is limited connection to the school district which “has stringent measures in place…including tight cohorts” and will remain open.

There is no known exposure to the daycare.

Active person to person spread is confirmed in the county, the press release stated. WHHS is “urging citizens to practice safety measures such as social distancing, staying at home, wearing a mask if you have to socialize, restricting activities to household members only, and considering holiday plans carefully."
