Lower Columbia College (LCC) has announced the appointment of Michael (Mike) Karnofski to the LCC Board of Trustees. LCC Trustees are appointed by the governor.
Karnofski has been actively involved in a variety of community organizations including the Columbia Theatre for the Performing Arts and youth sports, as both coach and official. He previously served as a board member for Parks and Recreation, (Washington) Community Economic Revitalization, and Freight Mobility Strategic Investment. He also served as an executive board member for Workforce Southwest Washington. Passionate about economic development, Karnofski is currently an elected member of the Kelso City Council.
His previous experience with LCC includes being a student, instructor, technical advisory committee member, donor, attendee at many athletic and cultural events, and parent of three Running Start students.
