County bans all outdoor burning

The Wahkiakum County Building and Planning Department has announced that effective at 12 noon, Tuesday, Sept. 9, all outdoor burning is banned in Wahkiakum County, including recreational fires in private fire pits and fire pits in designated campgrounds, such as those typically found in local, county, and state parks and in commercial campgrounds.

All burning permits issued by the county prior to the burn ban are hereby rescinded until such time that the burn ban is lifted.
