Kayak adventure to be shared

According to information received from Friends of Skamokawa, Kyleen Austin of Columbia River Kayaking will share the adventure of her solo kayak trip from Alaska to Puget Island on Sunday, June 28, at 2 p.m.

The online event will be broadcast on Youtube at: Friends of Skamokawa Interpretive Center.

Donations to benefit Willapa Hills Audubon Society will be appreciated.

Kyleen will also play her guitar and sing a song that she wrote. She was inspired to take this trip by a dream she had about seven years ago.

The trip was 1200 miles in her kayak named Babs. Her adventure started on June 1, 2019 as she loaded 200 lbs. of gear for the Alaskan ferry.
