There is a lot happening right now, in the world, in our hearts and in our lives. I am certainly not a fortune teller, but I do have a sneaking suspicion that all this change is not only necessary, but also healthy. Some days it doesn’t seem that way, the heaviness of it all can be exhausting. However, as we move forward as a community, I’m watching a lot of people really step into their power and it’s a beautiful thing.
OK folks, its official- Summer Lunch has begun! Not only do we have lunch, but we also have breakfast, GAP bags and garden bags. I’m taking orders and I’m also taking volunteers so give me a call @ 360-751-7149. A massive and wholehearted thank you to every single person who has helped orchestrate this. We are really looking forward to a successful summer of making sure that no one is hungry.
The community center is still closed, but we won’t be for long. Your patience is appreciated as we navigate how to do this in a good way. I feel like doing shout-outs, so I’m going to:
I’d like to give a special shout-out to a certain family of amazing humans who have just welcomed a brand-new baby into this world. Congratulations KP and crew, so happy for you all.
I’d like to give a shout-out to the sheriff’s department. With everything going on, I am thankful for the levelheadedness and kind nature of our county’s law men.
Shout-out to the childcare providers, babysitters and grandparents who are doing an incredible job at keeping our kids safe, positive and happy.
Most importantly, a shout-out to that big ole’ beautiful sun. I hope you all have a beautiful week.Be well, Wahkiakum.
