Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
Wahkiakum PUD has announced that it will temporarily suspend late fees and disconnection of utilities for non-payment, effective immediately.
Wahkiakum PUD recognizes the economic impact that COVID-19 is having on the community, and they have made the decision to suspend late fees and disconnects for non-payment until further notice. Payment will still be due at all times, therefore they strongly encourage customers who are or anticipate experiencing hardships to contact them as soon as possible in order to avoid accruing large debts. Payment assistance programs or payment arrangements may be available to you.
At this time, their lobby is closed to public access, but payments can be made via their website at http://www.wahkiakumpud.org, by mail to P.O. Box 248, Cathlamet, WA 98612, at the payment drop box at 45 River Street in Cathlamet, or by telephone at 360-795-3266 or 360-465-2171.
Wahkiakum PUD customers can also help families or individuals struggling to pay their bills through the PUD’s Residential Energy Assistance Program (REAP). Donations can be made by the methods above. Make donations payable to Wahkiakum PUD and specify that the funds are for REAP. All funds raised by the REAP program stay in Wahkiakum County.
