Cathlamet library closure announced

To The Eagle:

Beginning on Tuesday, March 17, the Cathlamet Public Library will be closed until further notice.

We have taken this difficult step out of concern for the health for our community, patrons, and volunteers. Evidence is compelling that limiting social contacts can help reduce the potential for the Coronavirus/COVID-19 to spread throughout our community. Libraries by nature provide publically shared materials and spaces.

If we can in any way restore services at some level, we will share this welcome news as soon and as widely as possible.

We recognize the serious impact that this decision will have on all of us.

As we work through future options, please continue to contact us at 360-795-3254 or email Librarian Carol Blix at carol@townofcathlamet.com. We will also post updates to our website at http://www.cathlamet.library.wa.us.

Our website offers a variety of resources such as ebooks, e-audiobooks, resource databases, all available with your library card number and password. If you need to set up a password on an existing card, let us know your name and contact information by phone message or email, and we will get back to you. You can return any library materials as usual to our book drop at the back of the library. In addition our wifi will continue to broadcast and be accessible from our parking lot 24/7.

Thank you for your understanding.

Carol Blix, Librarian, on behalf of the Library Board and volunteers
