The Wahkiakum Mules girls basketball team won two more this week to bring their record to 6-1, 13-3, currently second place in the Central 2B league.
Last Thursday, the team hosted Napavine and beat the Tigers 54-25.
"Defense looked great against Napavine," Coach Rob Garrett said. "We worked together really well. Offense is still coming along, but it's getting better each game."
Paige Mace led the team with 15 points. Alex Watkins scored nine. Jansi Merz, Courtney Carlson, and Megan Leitz had six points apiece. Kim Watkins added five. Reigha Niemeyer, Arrow Rose, and Miya Kerstetter scored two points each. Emerald Niemela had one.

On Tuesday, the Lady Mules traveled to Mossyrock and won 62-56.
"Mossyrock was a game of runs," Coach Garrett said. "We hit some big shots and every time they cut it close, we were able to pull ahead again. Defense wasn't quite our normal look tonight. We seemed to have some holes in it, but we got a big win against a good team, so we will take it."
Merz led the team with 17 points. Mace had nine. Kerstetter, Niemela, A. Watkins, and Leitz added eight points each. K. Watkins and Niemeyer scored two points apiece.

The Lady Mules host Toledo today (Thursday) and Adna on Monday. They travel to Morton/White Pass to finish the regular season next Wednesday. District play begins on February 10.
