After three matches, the Naselle Comets found themselves heading home without hardware on the second day of the State 1B volleyball tournament.
The team moved into the loser's bracket after losing to Pomeroy in three sets in the first round: 21-25, 11-25, and 25-27.
They were able to keep their hopes alive with a four set win against Grace Academy later that day: 25-27, 25-16, 25-13, and 25-19.
On Friday morning, they played their last game, losing to Firm Foundation in four sets: 15-25, 22-25, 25-21, and 21-25.
It was the final game for seniors Jaclyn Steenerson and Zani Wulf.
