Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891

Kelsey Hedges

Kelsey Anne Hedges, 23, a lifelong Cathlamet resident, died October 26, 2019 at home. She was born in Longview on July 23, 1996.

Kelsey was known for her great bear hugs and her love of photography. Her pictures were gifted to many friends and family over the years. She was a nanny for the Hurley family, which by no means was considered her “job” to her. They welcomed her into their home and family, which gave her the name “Kelkey” by her girls.

She had an infectious giggle. She loved the red, white and blue, which she wore often, and decorated with. Kelsey will be sorely missed by her family and community.

She is survived by her twin Ashley, Grandma LouAnne (Lulu), Jeff (Shelley), Fred (Tammy), Holly (Joel), Bob (Sabrina), Grandma Lorraine (Tom), Tanner (Kara), Kendall (Russell), Peytunn and her Hurley girls. She was preceded in death by her Mom, Kim Hedges and Aunt, Angie McNally.

A memorial service was held on Sunday, November 3 at St. James Family Center in Cathlamet. A private family burial was held at Greenwood Cemetery. Dowling Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
