New pastor takes over at Assembly of God

Cathlamet River of Life Assembly of God Church has a new pastor.

Reverend Ken Cummings is the new lead pastor at River of Life. He has been in ministry for almost 25 years and he and his wife, Sharlon have five children and four grandchildren.

Before marriage he served as a U.S. Army combat medic for two years.

In ministry they have served many different roles, from youth leaders, children’s ministry, adult Bible study, men’s and women’s group leaders as well as executive to the pastor and board treasurer.

“We believe that Christ wants us to lead through authenticity showing that we are saved by faith through grace and no one is beyond His redeeming love and mercy,” stated Cummings.

The Cummings family invites the community to introduce themselves at one of their gatherings, and they look forward to getting to know local residents.
